The Australian Sheepdog Workers Association (ASDWA)
Each year, Australia and New Zealand go head-to-head in the Trans Tasman Test, competing for the historic Wayleggo Cup. The event alternates between the two countries, celebrating the skill of working dogs and the handlers who guide them.
The Wayleggo Cup was introduced in 1994 by the New Zealand Sheep Dog Trial Association, under the leadership of President Tony Shield. Its name comes from the traditional command “wayleggo” — short for “come away and let go” — used by musterers and shepherds in New Zealand to call their dogs back from stock across great distances.
New Zealand is the current holder of the Cup, though Australia has proudly claimed victory many times, with standout wins in 1985, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1995, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2022 and 2024.

Through animal care, hands-on learning, and practical skills training, participants gain confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of self-worth. Families experience healing, schools see better engagement, and communities benefit from reduced youth offending and stronger social bonds.
By fostering respect, accountability, and belonging, RuffTRACK empowers young people to thrive — with many graduates returning to mentor others. Hypro is proud to partner with an organisation making such a lasting impact on individuals and the wider community.
Kelpies for Kids
Kelpies for Kids gives country kids the chance to just be kids. Too many families spend months away from home in Perth while their children receive life-saving medical treatment. Through the annual Kelpie Auction, funds are raised for Telethon to support vital services that reach deep into regional WA — from the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Earbus and beyond.
Every bid helps bring kids back to the dust, the creeks, and the country life they love. Hypro is proud to support this initiative, keeping families connected and ensuring regional kids have access to the care they need.
