1998
Hypro Pet Foods was established
From humble beginnings, two passionate, like-minded Australian farmers, John Camilleri and Garry Jennings founded Hypro Pet Foods in 1998 originally as a stock feed company to service the rural animal feed industry across the Eastern States of Australia.
2002 – 2005
Approached to produce pet food
Well respected in the industry for our animal nutrition solutions, service and expertise, in 2002, Hypro Pet Foods forged a strong supply partnership with one of the multinationals making some of Australia’s most popular and well-known pet food brands for several years.
With a strong reputation for innovation, Hypro became a pioneer in the industry in 2006 with the launch of its own flagship Dogpro brand. This unique, nutrient dense, range of products soon became one of the biggest selling dry dog food in rural Australia, rapidly gaining distribution nationwide across 1,200+ agribusiness retailers.
2011 – 2013
A Special Milestone
We’ve since continued to develop a portfolio of successful brands, such as Dogpro Plus which is highly recognised by the Australian Sheepdog Workers Association as the “Choice of Champions”. We have gained a strong presence in the market with our Catpro Plus and SuperVite Everyday range.
2018 – 2021
Launched three new brands
In the premium pet nutrition space, we have seen our newly launched holistic Hypro Premium range rise to “top rated” brand status amongst the breeders community. We also launched SuperVite Gold Label and Pure Life Pet Food.
Hypro strives to be at the forefront of pet food innovation and technology, launching Australia’s first to market complete meal with freeze dried 100% real meat pieces for the pet specialty sector.

Today, Hypro group remains proud of its Australian family heritage. The company has matured into a highly skilled team of 140+ employees including some of the finest nutritionists in the country. We are a fast growing, innovative manufacturer of premium pet foods located in the Hawkesbury Valley using locally sourced ingredients and supporting local farmers.
Our Facilities
Located in the beautiful surrounds of the Hawkesbury Valley, Hypro have established state of the art manufacturing and packaging facility. Our manufacturing capabilities enable us to produce both cold pressed pellets and extruded oven baked products and just recently, we commissioned our new wet food plant.
